You may not be familiar with the name Matt Kelly, but if you have dined in Durham, North Carolina, you may have eaten at one of his many fine dining restaurants. Both an incredible chef (he was named one of The Best Chefs of America) and savvy entrepreneur, he started his career in Durham at the French bistro restaurant Vin Rouge.
In 2012, he opened another restaurant, Mateo Bar de Tapas, a James Beard-nominated Spanish restaurant with Southern influences. After that, Matt Kelly started several other new award-winning restaurants:
