Eastcut Sandwich Shop (at 3211 Old Chapel Hill Road) features murals and outdoor seating in this newly designed casual space where dogs are welcome on their deck. Foster Street Coffee is located at 540 Foster Street on the ground floor of Liberty Warehouse Building in the Central Park District. This cafe serves coffee and specialty drinks. Snow Factory (at 760 Ninth Street) serves pan-fried Thai ice cream rolls made on a Hibachi table kept at 10 degrees below zero. Art of Cool 2018
Calling all Music Lovers! Durham has always been a Cool place to be and starting September 28, 2018 it will be even Cooler as it will host the 5th Anniversary Art of Cool Music Festival in downtown Durham. Artists from the Hip Hop, R&B, Jazz and Soul genres will grace various stages over a 2 day period. The party starts at noon on Friday and continues thru the wee hours on Sunday morning. The venues include The Durham Bulls Athletic Park, The Carolina Theater, Pinhook, The Durham Armory, Beyu Caffe, and Motoco, all within walking distance to the center of the city and Morehead Manor. The DOME group, LLC purchased this homegrown Black Music Festival in 2017 and moved the date to end of September which happens to come on the heels of the Black Wall Street: Homecoming. The Festival’s kick-off is Friday, September 28, 2018 and performances include:
