The Blue Note Grill in Durham Pulled Pork BBQ

The Blue Note Grill in Durham was voted INDY Best Place in the Triangle 2016 to hear Blues and were finalists for Best Place to Hear Bluegrass, Best Place for Wings, and Best Waitstaff. This family owned and operated establishment has clever names for their tasty culinary choices, including:

  • Not Quite a Peck of Pickled Peppers (North Carolina mountain pickled products served with stone ground wheat crackers and whole grain Dijon mustard)
  • Redneck Cheese Fries (hand-cut fries smothered with their house made pimento cheese served with their ranch dressing)
  • Not-Cho Cheese Chipotle Black Bean Nachos (house corn chips topped with their black beans, shredded cheese blend, lettuce, tomato, and house made chipotle sauce)
  • Not Grammas’ Deviled Eggs (five breaded shrimp and cheese-filled jalapeno peppers, deep-fried and served with their house made chipotle sauce)
  • The Cow Jumped Over the Moon (five ounces of fresh local beef from Mills Family Farm topped with house made bacon onion jam, roasted garlic aioli, and Chapel Hill Creamery’s Carolina Moon Cheese)
  • Bread Pudding Shooter (this bread pudding dessert is made in-house with candied pecans and topped with frozen whipped topping)
Celebrating their seventh anniversary in May of 2017, they will be throwing a party with the following musical line up:
  • Saturday May 27 starting at 8 pm ($12): “The Tornado Blues Band” and “Snake Malone and The Black Cat Bone”
  • Sunday May 28 from 5-7 pm (no cover charge): “The Beauty Operators Unplugged” listen to Durham’s all-females blues rock country band for an all-acoustic afternoon
  • Tuesday May 30 starting at 7:30 pm (no cover charge): Tuesday’s Blues Jam with Clark Stern
  • Wednesday May 31 starting at 8 pm ($15): Selwyn Birchwood
