Celebrating 25 years in 2020, OutSouth Queer Film Festival will be the new name for the annual NC Gay and Lesbian Film Festival. Happening this August 15 through 18 in 2019, the Film Festival is the second largest gay, lesbian, and transgender film festival in the Southeast, attracting thousands of people every year. Don’t you miss out!

Since 1995, the festival has featured an array of shorts, documentaries, and feature films. This celebrates a look at today’s gay, lesbian, and transgender life, helping to bring communities together with entertaining and sophisticated films and filmmaking. 

This event is held at 309 W. Morgan Street at the historic Carolina Theatre in the heart of Downtown Durham. For venue information, call (919) 560-3040 and call the Box Office at (919) 560-3030. 

Street parking is available along Morgan Street or nearby. The Durham Centre garage is directly across Morgan Street (from the Carolina Theatre) with additional decks nearby at 326 East Chapel Hill Street (directly in front of the post office) and at the 101 East Corcoran Street.
 
There are two accessible spaces on Morgan Street (along the plaza in the front of the theatre) and additional accessible parking is available in the Durham Centre garage. The charge for parking (per vehicle), according to their website, is free (on street, after 6 pm, or on weekends) or $3 per vehicle (in Durham Centre garage, after 6 pm, or on weekends).
